Turkey puts up major thermal power plant for privatisation

Turkey put up a major thermal power plant Seyitomer in the province of Kutahya for privatisation, Turkish Resmi Gazete reported on Thursday.

TEC_electric_station_1Under the privatisation, licenses will be granted for use of movable and real property of the TPP mines used by the thermal power plant.

The process of privatisation of the TPP will last until Dec.31, 2015.

TPP Seyitomer works on lignite. Its capacity is 600 megawatts. Privatisation of three more thermal power plants is expected to followt. They are Hamitabat with a capacity of 1120 MW, Soma with a capacity of 1034 MW and Can with a capacity of 320 megawatts.
