In the video, which Al Arabiya was recorded in Al-Ni’aimah town in Deraa city near the Jordanian borderline, Hijab is sat against a wall in a room with children and several men, who the FSA claimed were its fighters, defending him before his departure to Jordan after his desertion from the Syrian regime.
Hijab and 2 other ministers became the latest to desert Syrian President Bashar al-Assad on Monday.
“I declare today my desertion from the killing and terrorist regime and I declare that I have joined the ranks of the freedom and self-esteem revolution,” Hijab told in a statement read by a spokesman on Al Jazeera television on Monday. He stated himself “a soldier in this blessed revolution”.
