Turkey summoned the Iranian ambassador to demand a halt to Iranian media reports which link the execution of a Shi’ite cleric by Saudi Arabia, after last week’s visit to Saudi Arabia by President Tayyip Erdogan.
The Turkish Foreign Ministry strongly condemned the linking between President Erdogan’s visit and the executions.
The Foreign Ministry of Turkey also condemned the remarks that directly accused President Erdogan and said that the publications aimed to create a negative image of him in the eyes to the Iranian people.
