Turkish Foreign Minister Ahmet Davutoğlu told on Wednesday Turkey had discoursed with the UN the possible action of housing Syrian refugees inside border of Syria and that Ankara waited the world body to take concrete steps toward this.
“We expect the UN to engage on the issue of protecting refugees inside the border of Syria and if possible sheltering them in camps there,” Davutoğlu told a news conference in Ankara.
Davutoğlu told Ankara talked about the issue with the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees Antonio Guterres and the United Nations aid chief Valerie Amos.
