Eleven passengers were hospitalized on Monday after being poisoned by smoke in an XL Airways plane scheduled to fly to Turkey from Germany.
The smoke arose inside the cabin for an unknown reason when the plane, which took off from Hannover, was landing for a stopover at an airport in Köln. The plane was headed to Turkey’s Gaziantep province.
Eleven out of the 186 passengers on the plane were poisoned due to the smoke and taken to a hospital for treatment. Most of the passengers were of Turkish origin.
Reports said the rest of the passengers will be sent to Turkey on another plane.
