President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan met Secretary-General of the Council of Europe, Thorbjorn Jagland, at the Turkish Presidential Complex.
Jagland was also recieved by Turkish Minister of Foreign affairs Mevlüt Çavuşoğlu. Minister Çavuşoğlu underlined the importance of Turkey’s fight against terrorist organizations, reiterated Turkye’s expectations from CoE and its member states. Turkey-CoE common agenda was also discussed during the meeting.
The meetin between Turkish foreign Minister Mevlüt Çavuşoğlu with Thorbjørn Jagland, Secretary General of the Council of Europe (CoE) was scheduled on 15 February 2018.
