Turkish government spokesman said on Monday that no one should think that there would be war after the Prime Ministry motion which was approved by Turkish Parliament last week that authorized the Turkish government to send troops abroad.
Following the cabinet meeting, Deputy Prime Minister Bulent Arinc told reporters that Turkey was a country in favor of peace, and it was not thinking of war.
“But we attach a special importance to our independence and sovereignty. Authorization was taken to use it if needed,” he said.
Turkey has been exerting efforts at the international platform for end of human tragedy in Syria, the deputy premier said.
Arinc said that Turkey has accepted nearly 100,000 Syrians who fled violence in their country.
