copyright_aabadoluajansi_2012_20121011042426Turkish Minister of EU Affairs and Chief Negotiator Egemen Bagis said Turkey was disappointed with theEU Progress Report’s section on political criteria.
Speaking at a press conference in Istanbul after the EU made public a progress report on Turkey on Wednesday, Bagis said that the Greek Cypriot term presidency in the EU had a negative impact on the progress report.
“With such a pessimistic approach, the EU faces the risk of putting in jeopardy the Positive Agenda which began in early 2012,” Bagis stressed.
“Progress reports have never been a grade card for us and will never be,” Bagis also said.
