U.S. linguist and critic Chomsky remind Turkey undertook role in Libya and did not join NATO’s military intervention.
U.S. linguist and critic Noam Chomsky said that Turkey was playing an effective role in solving Syrian crisis.
Chomsky told AA that Turkey, at the beginning, was not involved in Syrian issue, then, it assumed an anti-Assad attitude.
Noting that Turkey had assumed a supportive role about the revolutions in Arab countries in recent years,Chomsky said that Turkey undertook a positive role in Libya issue and did not join NATO’s military intervention in that country.
Also commenting on U.S. policy about Arab revolutions, Chomsky said that the U.S. considered an intervention only about the matters serving its interests.
The U.S. did not intervene in Syria issue as it could not foresee who would replace Assad regime, saidChomsky.
