Turkish PM Recep Tayyip Erdogan said that they will not allow the ones who want to take out the Republic from the public and monopolize it.
The ruling Justice and Development (AK) Party chairman Erdogan responded to the demonstrations in Ankara, Turkish capital, during his speech at his party’s parliamentary group meeting. He said that the ones that would like to invade the streets by terror are the ones that could not get authorization from the public at the elections and it was for sure that they would be frustrated.
Here are the main messages Erdogan gave in his speech;
-Republican People’s Party (CHP) will continue to creep unless they learn that the protection of the Republic belongs to the public.
-Terrorist organization was in the pursuit of dividing Turkey by guns, spilling blood, restraint and cruelty. They (CHP) were in divisive behavior for the sake of secularism in the past, now they are discriminating people with a Republican mask on their face.
-I called on Kemal Kilicdaroglu, the chairman of the CHP, to attend the ceremonies before October 29. Why did not you attend the celebration at the hippodrome and but instead take stand in the streets. Were not the ones attended the celebration at the Hippodrome public? In spite of the nation and the state, you terrorized the streets by tailing after illegal organisations.
-Entering the garden of the first parliament building in Ulus by violence and trickery, is not advocating for the Republic. CHP is far away from the spirit of the first Turkish Parliament.
-The ones that rock the boat on as if some people in Turkey are opposed to the Republic and want to topple it, are afraid of the collapse of their benefit system, not the Republic.
-The Republic belongs to the public, belongs to everyone. The ones that would like to monopolise the Republic are desiring a privileged administration for them.
-(On hunger strikes) Regardless the crime convicted, everybody in the prisons are under the care of the state.
-They (CHP) accorded with Peace and Democracy Party (BDP) during the last elections and did not take out even one Turkish flag in the squares. It is easy to carry Turkish flag in Ulus. Why did not you carry Turkish flag in Hakkari (southeastern province of Turkey).
-I would like to remind especially to my Kurdish brothers, please do not let terrorist organisation to come between you and your children. We are sincere in our call. Do not let terrorist organisation, its guns, bombs, cruel leaders and puppet policy-makers come between you and us.
We did not rule country double-headed, Turkish PM
Erdogan has said that they did not rule the country double-headed.
Erdogan told a press conference at Ankara’s Esenboga Airport before leaving for Germany on Tuesday that he did not order the barricades to be removed on Monday’s illegal demonstration. He said that he did not know if President Abdullah Gul ordered Ankara Governor to remove them. He added that he would not believe in such thing because they did not rule the country double-headed so far, and double-headed ruling would not be for the benefit of Turkey.
Erdogan said that his and president’s positions are assigned and if presidency system is desired in Turkey he lines up with the idea. He said it would allow to take steps more easily in those situations.
On the investigation that Ankara prosecutor office launched, Erdogan said that Turkey is not a place where many people are always coming and going and added that everybody, especially an opposing party should be more sensitive on that.
Erdogan said that the police should have been more strict regarding the removal of the barricades. He said there was an indication of weakness and he talked with Ankara Governor and police chief about that.
Separatist terrorist organization in Turkey has many extensions in Germany
Erdogan said that Germany had an important place for the terrorist network in Europe.
“I am travelling to Germany with Deputy Prime Minister Bekir Bozdag, Foreign Minister Ahmet Davutoglu, EU Minister and Chief Negotiator Egemen Bagis and several members of parliament. On Tuesday, I will attend the inauguration of Turkey’s new Embassy in Berlin. On Wednesday, I will meet with the German Chancellor Angela Merkel and have a working meal with her,” Erdogan noted.
“The Turkish Embassy in Berlin will be one of Turkey’s biggest embassies in the world. It was completed in 24 months and has a covered area of 10,000 square meters. The building has traces of Ottomans and the Seljuks as well as modern architecture,” Erdogan stated.
“Our new embassy building in Berlin is a sign of the importance we attach to relations with Germany. In 2013, we will celebrate the 250th year of diplomatic relations with Germany,” Erdogan stressed.
“The meeting I will have with the German Chancellor Angela Merkel will be crucial as Germany prepares for elections in 2013. The elections of 2013 in Germany will determine their future,” Erdogan said.
