‘Bach Alla Turca’ in Bodrum festival

The 11th International Bodrum Ballet Festival hosted the Samsun State Opera and Ballet for a performance of “Bach Alla Turca” on Aug. 10.

n_52337_4The performance was viewed by around 1,300 people.

Staged by famous choreographer Mehmet Balkan, the show featured costumes by Marco Cantalupo and Katarzyna Gdaniec.

Thirty dancers were on stage for the performance, while famous Turkish model and former ballet dancer Çağla Şıkel also took the stage as a guest dancer in the second part of the ballet performance.

Acclaimed pianist Anjelika Akbar also performed piano while Mehmet Akatay performed oriental percussion during the event.

The festival will host the Ankara State Opera and Ballet on Aug. 14 with the show “The Amazons.”
