President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan held a phone conversation with U.S. President Donald Trump, focusing on regional crises and bilateral cooperation. Humanitarian Crisis in Gaza Takes Center Stage

President Erdoğan expressed grave concern over the worsening humanitarian situation in Gaza. He underlined the urgent need to ensure continuous humanitarian aid and end the suffering of civilians. Turkey, he said, is fully prepared to support ceasefire negotiations and lasting peace efforts.

Both leaders acknowledged the importance of preventing further escalation and discussed potential diplomatic measures. Erdoğan’s invitation to Trump to visit Turkey reflects Ankara’s willingness to strengthen international partnerships and play a constructive role in Middle East peacebuilding.

Cooperation on Syria and Global Security

In their conversation, Erdoğan reiterated Turkey’s commitment to preserving Syria’s territorial integrity and promoting regional stability. He welcomed U.S. steps to ease sanctions affecting Syria, noting that a stable Syria would contribute to broader global peace.

President Erdoğan also voiced appreciation for efforts aimed at ending the Russia-Ukraine conflict and welcomed negotiations with Iran. These remarks highlight Turkey’s role as a bridge between global powers and conflict zones, reinforcing its diplomatic influence in complex international arenas & international relations.
