Turkey’s European Union Minister Egemen Bagis on Tuesday met with Italian Foreign Ministry Undersecretary of State Marta Dassu.
The meeting was held in Milan prior to the Turkish minister’s speech at a conference on “Turkey as an emerging regional power: Challenges and Opportunities,” at the International Political Studies Institute.
Bagis and Dassu discussed bilateral relations between the two countries as the Turkish minister asked Italy for the continuation of Italian support for Turkey’s EU membership.
