Arsenal won 3-0, largely clearing the path towards qualification for the Champions League tournament.

Turkish giants Fenerbahce lost to an ailing Arsenal team that pulled away with three goals in the second half at the first leg of a play-off round that leads into the UEFA Champions League.

Football fans at Istanbul’s Sukru Sracoglu stadium witnessed a relatively balanced game in the first half, in stark contrast to Arsenal’s domination after halftime.

Gibbs opened the scoring for the Gunners at 51′, followed swiftly by Ramsey’s goal at 64′ after Fenerbahce defense line was weakened by a string of offensive plays.

Giroud’s penalty kick at 77′ sealed the game, and possibly the entire match-up in favor of the English club.
