TMBBThe main confrontation Republican People’s Party (CHP) has called on Parliament to convoke for an over-the-top session on recent developments in Syria and the Kurdish issue.

Talking the reporters abiding by a CHP Central Executive Board (MYK) assembling on Monday, the party’s spokesman declared that his party would charge an official call for an exceptional parliamentary session later in the day or on Tuesday. He told it’s “not correct for Parliament to be on recession during such a situation.”

Turkish Parliament adjourned for summertime recession on July 4 and will being a new legislative year on Oct. 4. The signatures of 110 deputies are asked in order for Parliament to adjudge an extraordinary session. The CHP has 135 deputies.

The CHP’s move arrives in the aftermath of coincidental attacks on 4 military outposts in the southeastern province of Hakkari by members of the Kurdistan Workers’ Party (PKK) on Sunday. The attacks left 6 soldiers and 2 village guards dead. 14 PKK members were also killed in clashes with Turkish security forces.

The PKK assaults also come amidst Turkish concerns over emerging Kurdish rule in Syria’s northern cities following the withdrawal of Syrian President Bashar al-Assad’s forces from predominantly Kurdish-populated areas to fight opposition forces in Damascus and Aleppo.
