Because of the hurricane, President Obama suspended electioneering and returned to capital. Replying a question about election, he answered as saying, “My priority is the victims of the disaster.”
Republican Party’s presidential nominee Mitt Romney paid attention to avoid using politic statements during the disastrous times however continued his electioneering.
Romney organized an “aid night” in Ohio for Sandy victims however outside of his election campaign trail, he has not visited any other disaster areas.
According to a survey by Reuters-Ipsos that countrywide, Obama has 47 percent and Romney has 46 percent of the votes.
Furthermore, according to the surveys of Quinnipiac/New York Times/CBS News that Obama is slightly ahead of Romney in Virginia and Florida.
Experts are not being able to foresee if Sandy Hurricane would change the minds of voters or not.
Both Obama and Romney are not wishing to mention their point of views if Sandy will change voters’ minds. However, it has been thought that if electors will be under the influence of hurricane, then this will benefit U.S. President Barack Obama.
