Syrian opposition group: “no change” in Moscow’s stance

The leader of a Syrian opposition group states that after speaks with Russian Federation foreign minister he ascertains “no change” in Moscow’s stance towards Bashar Assad.

A commission from the Syrian National Council assembled with Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov on Wed with the intention of driving Russia to accept Assad’s ouster as part of a political transition in Syria.

The exiled group’s new leader, Abdelbaset Sieda, called the Syrian dispute a “revolution in the direct sense of the word” and suggested “intervention by the United Nations” to bring a block to the ferocity.

Activists in the pursuit of democracy state more than 17,000 people have been killed since the uprising began in March 2011.
