Turkish fm to attend Friends of Syria meeting in Morocco

More than 100 countries as well as Syrian opposition will be represented at the meeting.

Turkey’s Foreign Minister Ahmet Davutoglu arrived in Marrakech, a city of Morocco in order to attend the meeting of the Friends of Syria.
More than 100 countries as well as the Syrian opposition will be represented at the meeting. Several foreign ministers will attend the meeting.
The meeting, previously held in Tunisia, Istanbul and Paris, is the first gathering after the establishment of the National Coalition of Syrian Opposition and Revolutionary Forces.
One of objectives of the meeting is to boost support for the coalition. Transition process and humanitarian aid issues will also be discussed at the meeting.
Friends of Syria group to recognize new Syrian opposition coalition

Group of Friends of the Syrian People, an international collective of countries and bodies that aim at finding a settlement to the Syria crisis, is expected to recognize the National Coalition of Syrian Revolutionary and Opposition Forces as the sole legitimate representative of the Syrian people.
