Turkish PM welcomes Moldovan counterpart with military ceremony

Turkish PM Recep Tayyip Erdogan welcomed his Moldovan counterpart Vladimir Filat.

copyright_aabadoluajansi_2012_20121102070454The ceremony was also attended by Turkish Deputy Prime Minister Bekir Bozdag, Foreign Minister Ahmet Davutoglu, National Defense Minister Ismet Yilmaz, National Education Minister Omer Dincer, Interior Minister Idris Naim Sahin and Deputy Chairman of the ruling Justice and Development (AK) Party Omer Celik.
Erdogan and Filat will hold a joint press conference following their meeting in Ankara on Thursday.

Turkish president receives Moldovan PM
Turkish President Abdullah Gul received Moldovan Prime Minister Vladimir Filat in Ankara.
Turkish Presidency on its web site provided information on Gul’s meeting with Filat.
According to the web site, President Gul told Filat that the autonomous region of Gagauz Place in Moldova was a bridge of friendship between Turkey and Moldova.
“The recent successful elections in the region were pleasing,” Gul said.
“The agreements to be signed with Moldova will add momentum to relations,” Gul also said.
Prime Minister Filat, in his part, said that they considered Turkey a crucial regional country with its economic performance and rising international profile.
