Speaking at a panel discussion “The Next Phase of the Turkey-U.S. Strategic Partnership” organized by TUSIAD and the Brookings Institution in Washington, she said that the U.S. in its new term has to give ear to Turkey’s concerns, risks and pay attention to its advice and recommendations.
She said that the U.S. elections in November affected not only the U.S. but also the rest of the countries around the world. Boyner said that she wants the U.S. to stay in touch with the other countries and not introvert because of its economic issues.
Furthermore, Lecturer at the Bogazici University Dr.Kemal Kirisci has touched on Turkey’s economic growing and its trade relations in the Middle East region and said that Turkey could be making a converting effect on its neighbours.
Kirisci drew attention to the abilities of U.S. to revitalise countries in Middle East as they do not have strong economic structures but have young population, he said.
