Another U.S. Threat to Iran: “It Would Be Wise to Take This President Seriously”

The United States has once again issued a warning to Iran after President Donald Trump’s recent statement holding Tehran responsible for any Houthi attacks. White House spokesperson Karoline Leavitt reinforced this message, saying, “It would be wise for Iran to take this president seriously.”

White House Reaffirms Trump’s Stance on Iran

The White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt stressed the seriousness of President Trump’s threats toward Iran. She emphasized that the U.S. administration remains firm against Iranian-backed forces. “Our message to Iran is clear: It would be wise to take this president seriously,” she stated.

“No Tolerance for Aggression”

Leavitt also spoke about the tensions in Yemen. “I believe the Houthis realized over the weekend that there is a new sheriff in town,” she noted. According to her, this president will not passively watch as terrorists attack commercial and U.S. Navy ships. Furthermore, the U.S. will not tolerate such actions.”

Trump’s Directive on Yemen

On March 7, the Houthis warned Israel that they had four days to allow aid into Gaza or face renewed naval operations. In response, President Trump announced via his Truth Social account on March 15 that he had ordered a “major strike” against the Houthis in Yemen.

Houthi leader Abdulmalik al-Houthi responded by declaring that American aircraft and warships would become targets. Additionally, he warned that if attacks continued, Washington would also face naval disruptions. Meanwhile, Iran-backed Houthis reported that U.S. and U.K. airstrikes on several Yemeni cities, including the capital Sana’a, had killed 53 people and wounded 98 others.
