Erdogan Backs Trump’s Call for Israel-Iran Peace
Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan has endorsed U.S. President Donald Trump’s call to end the escalating Israel-Iran conflict. During their phone conversation, Erdogan expressed deep concern over rising tensions and warned of a potential regional catastrophe if urgent steps are not taken.
According to Turkey’s Communications Directorate, the leaders discussed bilateral ties, regional developments, and the critical threat posed by the Israel-Iran standoff.
Diplomacy as the Sole Solution
Erdogan strongly emphasized that diplomacy is the only viable path to resolving nuclear tensions in the Middle East. He affirmed Turkey’s readiness to assist in negotiations and mediate between conflicting parties, if necessary.
Highlighting the dangers of military escalation, Erdogan warned that Israel’s attacks on Iran have caused lasting damage—both economically and in civilian terms. He called for an immediate halt to this dangerous spiral of violence.
A Regional Disaster in the Making
The Turkish leader underscored the urgency of preventing a full-blown conflict that could engulf the entire region. He acknowledged Trump’s recent comments promoting de-escalation as a constructive step, urging quick international coordination to secure peace.
The two leaders also reviewed broader regional issues and bilateral relations. Erdogan reiterated Turkey’s commitment to fostering stability through dialogue and mutual respect.
