Two Turkish Airlines pilots, who were abducted in Lebanon, appeared Monday on Lebanese LBC TV channel and they appeared in good health.

pilotlar-jpg20131016092827-jpg20131016095357Pilot Murat Akpinar said on the 30 seconds-video, “Today is October 14, 2013, one day before the Eid al Adha. I want to return home. I am fine.”

Assistant pilot Murat Agca said, “I’m safe and sound. I miss my family, my children and my country,” he said, reciting part of a Quranic verse in Arabic that read “But perhaps you hate a thing and it is good for you.”

It was not possible to tell from the video if Agca recited the verse willingly or he was forced by his captors to do so.

On 9 August, the twp Turkish Airlines were kidnapped by armed men when their vehicle were stopped on the way to their hotel after an Istanbul-Beirut flight.
