World famous singer Jennifer Lopez has performed for the first time in Istanbul as part of her “Dance Again” tour.
The renowned Latin songstress began her tour in Panama last May, crossing the globe to entertain fans in Latin America, NorthAmerica and across Europe. She wowed Turkish fans on the night of Nov. 14 at Aslı Çakır Alptekin Althletism Hall in Istanbul, where tickets for the concert were sold out days beforehand.
Lopez, who arrived at the concert hall with her twin children, performed her most popular songs, including chart-topper “On the Floor” from her “Love” album, during the two-hour show, which was visually enhanced with laser lights, costumes and her signature dance moves.
Previously scheduled to give only one concert in Turkey, Lopez added two more shows due to high demand. She will perform again at the Ülker Sports Arena tonight and tomorrow night as a continuation of her tour. It will be the first time that she has given three concerts in one city on the tour.
Born in 1969, Lopez has recorded seven albums to date. Her albums have sold over 55 million copies worldwide and she has been listed as the most influential Hispanic performer in the United States. Also one of the highest paid actresses in Hollywood of Latin descent, Lopez made more than $15 million per role for her film performances.
