Art, especially music, is something that can contribute greatly to efforts of dialogue between different cultures. It can bridge the gaps which mankind is sometimes very keen on creating when it comes to being over-protective of our own customs, traditions and habits. And music doesn’t even need to be comprehensible, that is sung in a language that we understand. Because music is a language on its own, a universal dialect that sets our feelings into motion and brings out the noblest of feelings. It connects us, makes us understand that the only difference between people is one that was created out of material interest. Nowadays, the boundaries that we once knew are washed away and most music and art is available to each and everybody, and mostly without even having to pay for it – if you are connected to the internet that is. So, if you should read this whereever you may be on this blue planet of ours, here is some stuff from Turkey, the Balkans and beyond that you should get your ‘ears on’! Enjoy listening!
